Hello!
A few weeks ago we launched a new feature that ment we interview someone from each country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 & ask their review on their countries entry!
Today we are interviewing Arianna Brooke about Estonia's 2014 entry!
Arianna Brooke is 23 and from Toronto, Canada! She cant speak both English & French and has been a Eurovision fan for a few years now! We asked Arianna if we could interview her about Tanja reprasenting Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark & she has kindly agreed! Read what she has to say below!
1. First of thank you for letting us interview you! How long have you been a Eurovision fan? :)
"No problem!! This is a lot of fun. :) I liked the idea of Eurovision when I saw it through a friend's webcam in 2002, but rediscovered it in 2006 when we had to write about a singer who sings in French. I chose Kate Ryan and found she was participating in the contest. Followed it ever since :)"
2. What sort of Estonia Eurovision songs have you liked in the past?
Arianna: "Ines's Once in a Lifetime as it's an innocent and really uplifting song, Neiokõsõ's Tii, Leto Svet by Kreisiraadio as it makes me laugh lots, Urban Symphony's 2009 entry Rändajad and Kuula by Ott Lepland. Birgit's stunning Et Uus Saaks Alguse included of course :)"
3. What is your opinion of Tanja's Eurovision entry? Do you think it is "Amazing"?
Arianna: "I love Amazing. It's enjoyable, though somewhat forgettable. It's not a standout song, but Tanja's strong voice makes it stand out! I am sure she'll do her very best with it. Accompanied with the stage work, it has a powerful force behind it."
4. How would you compare Tanja to past Estonia entries?
Arianna: "Tanja's song has more dance element in it than past Estonian entries. Estonia always likes to experiment and I love that a lot."
5. How would you rate Estonia to the other countries in Semi final one?
"Hard to say since presently, not all songs are released. In its semi, I think it'll qualify to the final. I don't think it will place 1st in its semi. Maybe within top 5, but if not, a bit after."
6. Overall where do you think Estonia will place in Eurovision? Do you think they could win?
Arianna: "No, I do not think Tanja's song is a winning song. I think it'll place between 10th and 15th. But it depends on the songs from other countries that are yet to be released."
7. For a final question what are you most looking foward to about Eurovision 2014?
Arianna: "I'm looking forward to a surprise winner!!! It's getting later and no one has "winner" painted in bold on their back yet"
A massive thank you to Arianna for answering our questions!
