Read what Dezyree had to say to us below!
1. Hello Dezyree! Thank you for agreeing to this interview! Could you please tell us how you got into the Eurovision Song Contest?
Dezyree: "I got into it by accident. Back in 2009, when I was bored, literally, of the songs that I had on my music player at the time, I went to Youtube and Google to search for music that I had missed. While I did that, something clicked in my mind that I should go to the website, so I ended up at the official website. Turns out that it was only a few days before the first show, and I spent the weekend listening to all 42 songs. I even watched all three shows online. From then on, it's history."
2. This year Lithuania will be reprasented by Vilija Matačiūnaitė. How would you compare her to last years Lithuanian entry Andrius Pojavis?
Dezyree: "In the past few years, I have been tough on Lithuania in terms of doing these tops because they have been sending these mediocre songs, and they got to the final easily (maybe due to neighbor voting or something). This year, Vilija and Attention is different. I admit that I wasn't into the song at first, and when I saw Vilija perform it, I knew that she was a perfect fit (after all, she composed it), so when it was finally chosen, I was happy. Right now it's in my top 5. So in comparison to last year's entry, I say it's better by miles."
3. The song Vilija will be singing is a song she wrote herself. Did the song grab your "Attention"?
Dezyree: "Not at first, but it was one of my favorites. My actual favorite was Blowing Out Cobwebs, but I also had Take a Look at Me Now in my top 3. I knew Attention was gonna win, and since it did, I had no problems with it. Now I'm in love with it, so it's an attention grabber."
4. Lithuania is in a very strong semi final this year. Do you think they will qualify for the final?
Dezyree: "For the first time in 4 years, I will say that I hope they do. Will they? It'll have to depend on the type of show and vocals that Vilija and her crew will put together in Copenhagen. But I don't see any problem with her qualifying. After all, the last three somehow made it through."
5. Looking at all the songs already choosen for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 how would you rate Lithuania chances off the winning the contest?
Dezyree: "I will tell you right now that Lithuania won't win the song contest, but we have no runaway winner so far (i.e. Alexander Rybak, Loreen, etc), so right now for me it's even. I don't even know who will win this year to be honest."
6. Could you tell us what your most looking foward to about Eurovision 2014?
Dezyree: "The performances, of course, but also the interval act that Emmelie is doing (Rainmaker is awesome), and how well the hosts can pull it off. And Lynda Woodruff if that's possible."
7. Finally We would like to thank you for this interview! :)
Dezyree: "Thank you for having me on."
