Last year we started the Eurovision Fan Reviews, were you the readers reviews the songs taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Today we bring you the 32nd Eurovision Fan Review for the 2015 contest.
The person who will be reviewing the next song in the Eurovision 2015 fan reviews is Tim from The Netherlands. Tim will be reviewing Italy's entry "Grande Amore" by Il Volo.
You can read what Tim thinks of Italy's entry below!
1. Hello Tim, thanks for agreeing to this. How long have you been a Eurovision fan?
Tim: Hi mysterious interviewer! I am a fan for 3 years now, but I´ve been watching Eurovision since 2009 already. But since 2013 I am a real fan and since then I also watch national finals and stuff.
2. This year Italy selected their entry from the Sanremo Music Festival 2015. Did you watch the Sanremo Music Festival? If so, what were some of your favourite moments?
Tim: To be honest, I did not xD I wanted to, but I felt like it was a bit dragged out and there were SO MANY INTERVAL ACTS. So… nope, unfortunately.
3. The winners of the Sanremo Music Festival 2015 was Il Volo, with the song "Grande Amore". What is your opinion of the song?
Tim: It´s great, I love opera! And I love the Italian language so I think this entry is amazing! It´s one of my favourite entries, but because I have so many favourites, it´s only my 7th… but I would be happy if it won!
4. How would you compare "Grande Amore" to recent Eurovision entries from Italy?
Tim: Great! I love every recent Italian entry (except 2014) so I think this one is great again. It is a bit like Italy in 2011. Madness of love was a jazz song, which isn´t really appreciated usually but yet it finished second. And I think opera could just do better than never before in Eurovision this year.
5. Where do you think Italy will place overall at this years Eurovision Song Contest?
Tim: As I said, Italy is back for a top 10 spot. I personally don´t see it winning, but I really wouldn´t mind if it did. I think they´ll reach a top 5 spot – and if not, a top 10 spot for certain.
6. Finally, what are you most looking forward to about this years Eurovision Song Contest?
Tim: I want to see if we can qualify! We from the Netherlands are a borderline qualifier and I want to know if we can haha. However, if that doesn´t count – I´m really looking forward to the voting. It will be very interesting how things will happen in the voting this year as it´s wide-open.
