1. Hello Nick, thanks for agreeing to this, How long have you been a Eurovision fan for?
Nick: My pleasure, Jess! This marks my fifth year as a fan, and it'll also be the first year I make it to Eurovision in person!
2. This year Czech Republic returned to the Eurovision Song Contest, after a 5 year break from the contest. What was your reaction when you heard they would return?
Nick: After I picked up my jaw, I was really excited to hear what the Czech Republic would send! Czechs make a lot of good rock and alternative music, so I had high hopes for their return.
3. The duo who will be representing Czech Republic is Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta. What do you think of their vocals?
Nick: They're fantastic! I love how powerful both of their voices are and, surprisingly, they both work well together in the song. Their performance at the London preview party was excellent.
4. The song they will be performing is called "Hope Never Dies". What do you think of the song?
Nick: The song is good. The first verse and chorus are really special with the medieval instruments, but it kind of loses power after that. Especially once it gets to the key change, it's a little weak.
5. How would you compare "Hope Never Dies" to previous Eurovision entries from the Czech Republic?
Nick: It's no contest, this is the best song they've ever sent! Their entries in 2007 and 2009 had certain appeal to them but they weren't as good as "Hope Never Dies" and 2008 was a disaster. This year's entry puts their last three to shame.
6. Czech Republic will be performing 8th in the second semi-final of this years contest, do you think this is a good place for them to perform?
Nick: It could be better but it is the best draw they could've gotten in the first half of the semi.
7. Where do you think Czech Republic will place overall in this years contest?
Nick: I think they'll qualify for the first time and finish mid-table in the final. It's not the kind of song that sounds like it'll shoot to the top 10 but it shouldn't be bottom five either. It'll probably be between 15th and 20th.
8. Finally, what are you most looking forward to in Eurovision 2015?
Nick: Being there! Eurovision 2015 is the first one I'm attending, so I'm looking forward to seeing all the songs performed live and meeting fans from all over. :)
