Last
year we started the Eurovision Fan Reviews, were you the readers
reviews the songs taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Today we
bring you the 37th Eurovision Fan Review for the 2015 contest.
The person who will be reviewing the next song in the Eurovision 2015 fan reviews is Matt from United Kingdom. Matt will be reviewing Poland's entry "In The Name Of Love" by Monika Kuszyńska
You can read what Matt thinks of Poland's entry below!
1. Hello Matt, thanks for agreeing to this. How long have you been a Eurovision fan?
Matt: Hello thank you for giving me this opportunity to express my Eurovision thoughts. I have been a Eurovision official fan since 2013 but been watching the contest since 2009. I always remember watching Alexander Rybak in his semi final two.
2. As we know, Monika Kuszyńska has been selected to represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. What was your reaction when you heard Monika represent Poland at this years contest?
Matt: I was kind of disappointed as I was hoping for Doda. Then again Doda was complaining that she had little money for staging and I would be disappointed with a fun upbeat song with very poor staging.
3. The song Monika will be performing is called "In The Name Of Love". What is your opinion of the song?
Matt: My first reaction was "Ohh great another ballad when we could of had an uptempo song from Doda". I find this song very irritating as depending on my mood I have different thoughts. This made my top 10 when it had been released for a week but then a few weeks later it found it's self number 27...
4. How would you compare "In The Name Of Love", to recent Eurovision entries from Poland?
Matt: Well I'm not very familiar with the previous entries apart from Dontan and Cleo. I really liked the 2014 entry (song wise) the staging just attracted so much attention but sadly Monika won't really be standing out with a boring ballad.
5. As we know Poland will perform 17th in the second semi-final. Do you think this is a good place for them to perform?
Matt: It's been given one of the best places to perform so I feel Poland is very lucky to have got this position.
6. Where do you think Poland will place overall in this years contest?
Matt: I think Poland will be a boarder line qualifier as people will remember the final song in semi final two. If it makes it to the final I believe it will place between 20 - 25.
7. Finally, what are you most looking forward to about this years contest?
Matt: I'm just very excited for the staging as the stage is very interesting this year. I'm also looking forward to the postcards as the ESC website has shown so many photos and I'm so curious of all the contestants challenge.
