We sent Martine a few questions and she had kindly answered them for us!
Read what she says below!
1. Hi Martine! :) First of all thank you for taking the time to answer thease questions :) How does it feel making the final 15 of Melodi Grand Prix 2014?
Amazing! I’m very excited to be one of the 15 MGP-artists this year. It’s cool that the jury believes in my song and chose it to be part of the competition.
2. What was your inspiration to enter Melodi Grand Prix?
I’ve had this song in my top drawer for a few years now, and it’s just been waiting for the right opportunity. I never thought I would be in Melodi Grand Prix, but all of a sudden it just seemed like the right thing to do. Hopefully it will be a fun, adventurous experience, and obviously the extra exposure won’t hurt. I just want people to notice my music, and I think this is a great opportunity for that.
3. We loved the snippet of "Right Now" & can't wait to hear the full version! Could you maybe explain to us what the song is about?
Thanks! The song is about forgetting all your worries and just have fun, right now. It’s about leaving stress and drama behind and dance off into the night.
4. We saw that you will perform in the second semi final of MGP, Who do you think will be your biggest competition and why?
That’s hard to say, but maybe Cir.Cuz, because they all ready have a large following. Luckily, I think all the acts in the semi final are very different, so we’ll all have our individual expression.
5. As we are a Eurovision blog we have to ask you this, What is your favourite Eurovision song?
I really loved the Swedish act in 2013, Robin Stjernberg with the song “You”. He has an amazing voice, and that song is soo catchy!
6. Is there any words you would like to say to your fans?
I hope they’ll love “Right Now”, and that they’ll enjoy this crazy adventure as much as I will!
We would like to thank Martine for answering thease questions for us! Wishing her loads of luck on MGP! :)
