Today we thought it would be a lovely idea to look back at some off the twins that have tried or competed at the Eurovision Song Contest!

1. TWIINS
We are kicking things off with the wonderful Slovakian twins, TWIINS!
TWIINS are formed by the Slovakian twin sisters Daniela Nízlová (Now Jančichová) and Veronika Nízlová, who first came into the Eurovision spotlight in 2008, where they where the back up singers for the Czech Republic entry Tereza Kerndlová, woh performed the song "Have Some Fun", even though the song placed 18th in the semi finl it is still to this day Czech Republic's highest placing entry.
In 2011 TWIINS came back to the Eurovision stage but this time as the main performers for Slovakia! The girls performed the song "I'm Still Alive", which was Slovakia's first ever entry to not be sung in Slovak.
The girls ended up finishing 12th in the second semi final. If the votes had been just the juries the girls would have qualified for the final.

2. Jedward
Next we are off to Ireland to look at the wonderful twin boys Jedward!
Jedward are made up of the Irish brothers John and Edward, who first came into the Eurovision world in 2011, where they represented Ireland with the song "Lipstick", The boys performed in the same semi final as TWIINS and qualified for the final, where they ended up finishing in 8th with 119p!
In 2012 Jedward once again went on to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest but this time with the song "Waterline", which went on to finished 19th in the final with 46p.

3. Francine and Nicola Gleadall
Now we move not far over to the United Kingdom to see the 2009 national finalist Francine and Nicola Gleadall!
Francine and Nicola Gleadall came into the Eurovision world in 2009 where they competed in the United Kingdom national final "Eurovision: Your Country Needs You!".
The girls made it through all the way to the final off the contest, where they performed three songs, including the UK entry song "It's My Time", which was written by Andrew Llyod Webber.
At the end of the final it was announced the girl had finished runner-up to UK entry Jade Ewen, who went on to finish 5th in Eurovision 2009.

Francine and Nicola Gleadall came into the Eurovision world in 2009 where they competed in the United Kingdom national final "Eurovision: Your Country Needs You!".

4. Tolmachevy Twins
Now on to are last set of twins in this article, the lovely Tolmachevy Sisters!
The Tolmachevy Sisters, who are made up off Anastasiya and Maria Tolmachevy, first came into the Eurovision world in 2006, where they competed at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Vesenniy jazz", which went on to win the contest with a total off 154p!
In 2014 the twins where selected to represent Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Shine", In the end the girls went on to reach the Eurovision final and finished 7th with a total off 89p!
