Hello!
You may remember a few months ago ESC-Starz asked you guys to review entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 (If you have not seen them you can click here) and now we have decided to bring the fan reviews back but this time for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014!
Today we will be bringing you the fan review for the Montenegro entry in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014, which is Maša Vujadinović & Lejla Vulić, who will be performing the song "Budi dijete na jedan dan".
The person who will be reviewing Montenegro's entry is Mila from Denmark!
1. Hey Mila, thanks for doing this, how long have you been a fan of Junior Eurovision?
Mila: You're very welcome :D I have been a fan since it started. I remember that the first edition in 2003 was in my country Denmark, and even though I was just a kid I loved it, and I have watched it every year since then.
2. This year Montenegro will make their first debut in Junior Eurovision, what was your reaction when you heard the news?
Mila: I was thrilled! I know Montenegro have lots of young talented singers, despite it being a small country, and I think it's so great that they will have the chance to showcase that talent to Europe, and that the singers will get such an amazing experience. Junior Eurovision is a great platform for young artists, because they will have the chance to reach out to so many people.
3. Now we should mention you will be part of the JESC Montenegro delegation and so we would like to ask, what does it feel like to be involved with Montenegro's first JESC entry?
Mila: It feels amazing! I was already a part of the delegation at Eurovision 2014, which was one of the best experiences I have ever had, and I learned so much from it. This will be the first Junior Eurovision I will attend live, and to do it as part of delegation is a dream come true. The people in the delegation are so nice, and it's a joy to work with them, so I'm beyond happy to be involved.
4. The lovely duo who will be representing Montenegro this year is Masa & Lejla, what do you think of their vocals?
Mila: I think Maša & Lejla are such great artists despite their young age. They can sing, dance, they are very charismatic, and they're lovely girls as well. I think they have such good vocals, that they showcase well in the song. They can sing in both a low and high register, which is impressive for girls at their age.
5. The song the girls will be singing is "Budi dijete na jedan dan", what do you think of the song?
Mila: I love this song! I have listened to it constantly since I heard for the first time, back in September. It's a super fun uptempo song, and I really think it sounds like a children's song, which I feel like we have been missing in Junior Eurovision. I think the composer, Slaven, has done a great job with, and really captured the happy, childish spirit the lyrics have. Even though I love the melody, my favorite part of the songs is the lyrics, that I think sets focus on how important it is to sometimes just be a child again, and do childish stuff. Recently I talked to Lejla who co-wrote the lyrics, and she told me that the message she wanted to get out with the song is that sometimes adults focus too much on serious and negative stuff, like all over the world people are fighting over their differences, but when you're a kid, those differences doesn't matter, everyone can be friends no matter where they're from, and what opinions they have. She also said, that she thinks so many children wants to be adults as soon as possible, but that they should just enjoy being kids as long as they can, because there are so many fun things about it. Lastly she wants the adults to take the kids more seriously, because even though kids may not have as much life experience as the grown ups, they can still have some good opinions that the adults should listen to. So I hope people will listen to Lejla's message, and just forget their problems and have fun and be kids for a day.
6. Finally, What are you looking foward to about Junior Eurovision 2014?
Mila: I'm really looking forward to go to Malta. It seems like such an amazing country and I know they like Eurovision and Junior Eurovision a lot, so it's going to be great to feel the Eurovision spirit there. I'm also really excited to see the show, and the songs being performed on the big stage. And of course I'm super excited to see all my friends from Montenegro again.
