Hello!
A few weeks ago we launched a new feature that ment we interview someone from each country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 & ask their review on their countries entry!
Today we are interviewing Jamie Hough about Belarus 2014 entry!
Jamie is a massive Eurovision fan from the United Kingdom! We sent Jamie some questions about Belarus entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 & he has kindly answered them for us!
Belarus entry for Eurovision 2014 is Teo with the song "Cheesecake". Read what Jamie said to us below!
1. Hi Jamie! thanks for agreeing to do this! How long have you been a Eurovision fan?
Jamie: My first memory of Eurovision was when Latvia won in 2002 in Tallinn and I've been a full-on fan ever since.
2. This year Belarus held a national final to decide their entry in Eurovision 2014, Did you watch the nationa final? If you did what where your highlights?
Jamie: I have to admit, I didn't. I was in Australia at the time!
3. This year Belarus will be represented by Teo, What do you think off his vocals?
Jamie: Vocally. He's not the worst singer this year. But he's not one of my favourites. I maybe a bit biased but Molly from the UK is the best vocalist this year.
4. The song Teo will be performing at Eurovision is "Cheesecake", What do you think off the song?
Jamie: On the first listen, I wasn't sure to be honest. I thought it was very gimmicky. But it's growing on me. Plus. I'm a fan of cheesecake. What with Teo and Latvia's Cake To Bake. I'm definitely serving cheesecakes and cakes at my Eurovision party!
5. Belarus will be performing 10th in the second semi final off Eurovision 2014, Do you think this is a good place for them to perform?
Jamie: I think so. It will allow the song to be fresh in people's minds when all the acts have preformed and people can vote.
6. Where do you think Belarus will place overall in Eurovision 2014?
Jamie: I think they may struggle to ever qualify if I'm honest, but if they do get to the final. Maybe somewhere between 17th to 20th?
7. Finally, What are you most looking foward to about Eurovision 2014?
Jamie: I'm looking forward to how the UK gets on now this year we have a contemporary decent song. I'm also looking forward to how my other favourites get on - Austria, Armenia, Spain and Estonia.
