Hello!
You may remember a few months ago ESC-Starz asked you guys to review entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 (If you have not seen them you can click here) and now we have decided to bring the fan reviews back but this time for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014!
For are first JESC fan review we will be bringing you the review for Italy's Junior Eurovision 2014 entry Vincenzo Cantiello and her song "Tu primo grande amore".
The person who will be reviewing Italy's entry is Annalee! Read what she says below!
1. Hi Annalee, thanks for agreeing to this, How long have you been a fan of Junior Eurovision for?
Annalee: Only for a year. I'd never watched it before because I thought it would be really boring, but I decided to give it a try when I saw everybody tweeting about it. I was really surprised at how professional everything was and how good some of the songs were. Since then I've watched all of the previous Junior Eurovision finals and I'm counting down the days until the final in Malta! My favourite years are 2006 and 2013.
2. This year Italy announced their debut into the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, what was your reaction to hearing this?
Annalee: I think it's really exciting that one of the 'big five' countries decided to take part. Hopefully it will encourage more countries to join in; Eurovision is always more exciting with more people!
3. The person who will be representing Italy this year is Vincenzo Cantiello, what do you think of his vocals?
Annalee: He's very good! I've watched a few videos of him singing live and he's quite impressive. He also seems very confident so I think he'll handle the pressure of the competition well.
4. The song Vincenzo will be performing at the contest is "Tu primo grande amore", what do you think of the song?
Annalee: I really it; I think it's the type of song that could do well at 'adult Eurovision' and hopefully he will make an impact. It starts off really nicely and gets better and better but I'm not sure about the end of the song; I don't really think it needs the English parts.
5. Where do you think Italy will place overall in this year's contest?
Annalee: The competition this year is very tough so it's hard to say, but I think he will get some attention because he's the only boy taking part! It would be nice to see Italy do well with their first ever entry.
6. Finally, what are you most looking forward to about Junior Eurovision 2014?
Annalee: I'm looking forward to seeing what Malta can do! I don't think they get a lot of attention internationally, so it will be nice to see what they show when Europe is watching! This is also the first year I'll be watching already knowing all the songs, so I'm looking forward to seeing all my favourites perform.
