Today we bring you this week's "From TV Show To Eurovision!" and the theme for this weeks article we have decided to focus on some of the contestants from the TV Show Idol!
In the past two article we have only featured five from each TV Show and now we have decided we will feature ten previous Pop Idol contestants, who have tried & competed at the Eurovision Song Contest!
Today we will look at ten Pop Idol contestants, who have tried to and competed at Eurovision. We know there are more Eurovision National Finalist & Eurovision Contestants who have been in Pop Idol and we will feature them in future articles.

Today we will look at ten Pop Idol contestants, who have tried to and competed at Eurovision. We know there are more Eurovision National Finalist & Eurovision Contestants who have been in Pop Idol and we will feature them in future articles.
1. Loreen
We are starting things off with Eurovision 2012 winner Loreen!
In 2004 Loreen (During Pop Idol she competed under her name Lorén Talhaoui) entered the first season of Pop Idol (Idol 2004) where she auditioned with the song "Love Is On The Way" which gained her third on the public vote just knocking her out of a semi final spot, however the judges decided to give Loreen their wildcard so she could compete in the semi finals. After weeks of performing Loreen went on to finished 4th overall in the contest.
In 2011 Loreen competed in the Melodifestivalen with the song "My Heart Is Refusing Me" where she placed fouth in her semi final and advanced to the Andra Chansen, where she was knocked out by Sara Varga.
In 2012 Loreen competed once again in Melodifestivalen with the song "Euphoria", which went on to not only win Melfest but also went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 for Sweden with a total of 372 points!

2. Jessica Garlick
Now we go over to the United Kingdom to see Jessica Garlick!
In 2001 Jessica Garlick took part in the first season of Pop Idol UK, where she performed "Crazy For You" and came second in her heat, Which ment she would perform in the live shows. Jessica went on to finish 9th in the contest.
Shortly after being eliminated from Pop Idol Jessica was invited by the BBC to compete in the UK national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "Come Back" as the song writers of the song had thought it would be a good idea to use someone from Pop Idol and since Jessica had stated she would love to enter Eurovision they decided to ask her to compete with the song.
Jessica went on to win the national final and went on to finish third with a total of 111p!

3. Margaret Berger
Back over to Scandanavia now but this time we go to Norway with Margaret Berger!
In 2004 Margaret took part in the second season of Jakten på en superstjerne, where she auditioned with the song "Your House" where she made it through to the semi final round where after performing an orginal song she was elimanated, however Margaret recieved a call back for the wild card spot, which she was given.
Margaret went on to compete in the semi finals and advanced to the final where she finished runner up to Kjartan Salvesen.
In 2013 Margaret took part in Melodi Gran Prix with the song "Feed You My Love" and went on to represent Norway in Eurovision 2013, where she went on to finish 4th with 191p!

4. Robin Stjernberg
Now we go back to Sweden with Robin Stjernberg!
In 2011 Robin took part in the 8th season of Swedish Idol, where he auditioned with the song "Who You Are" and made it through all the way to the final where he finished runner up to winner Amanda Fondell.
In 2013 Robin took part in Melodifestivalen with the song "You", which came fourth in his semi final, which ment he would advance to Andra Chansen. Robin went on to qualify for the grand final and was announced as the winner, which ment he was the first ever Melfest winner to go through the Andra Chansen round.
In Eurovision 2013 (Also held in Malmo, Sweden) Robin went on to finish 14th for Sweden with a total of 62p.

5. Birgit Oigemeel
Now we travel to Estonia to see are first Pop Idol winner Birgit Oigemeel!
In 2007 Birgit took part in the first season of Eesti otsib superstaari (Idol Estonia), where she qualified first through the semi final and went on to win the first ever season of Eesti otsib superstaar!
After Eesti otsib superstaari Birgit went on to compete in Eesti Laul 2008 with the song "365 Days", which finished 3rd. In 2012 Birgit returned to Eesti Laul with violinist Violina and the song "You're Not Alone", which ended up finishing 7th.
In 2013 Birgit returned again with the song "Et uus saaks alguse" and was crowned the winner, which ment she would represent Estonia in Eurovision 2013. Birgit performed at Eurovision 2013 while pregnant with her third child (Who was born in October 2013) and finished 20th with 19p!

6. Hanna Pakarinen
Time to go to Finland now to see are second Idol winner Hanna Pakarinen!
In 2003 Hanna auditioned for the first season of Idols (Finland Idol) and impressed the judges and qualified through to the next stage, Hanna made it though all the way to the final and was crowned the first ever winner of Finnish Idol!
In 2007 Hanna competed in the Finnish national final for Eurovision 2007 (Which Finland where hosting) and won the right to represent Finland. Hanna went on to finish 17th with 53p!

7. Nodiko Tatishvili
Now we go over to Georgia to look at Geostar winner Nodiko Tatishvili!
In 2009 Nodiko took part in season 4 of Geostar (Georgia Idol), which he went on to win.
In 2013 Nodiko went on to represent Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest along with Geostar season 5 runner up Sopho Gelovani with the song "Waterfall".
Nodiko & Sopho went on to finish 15th for Georgia with a total of 50p!

8. Ott Lepland
Now we carry on with male idol winners, but this time we are in Estonia and Ott Lepland!
In 2009 Ott took part in the third season of Eesti otsib superstaari, where after making it through the boys round made it to the finals stage and went on to win the contest!
In 2012 Ott competed in Eesti Laul with the song "Kuula", which he went on to win and ment he would represent Estonia in Eurovision 2012!
Ott went on to finish 6th in the final for Estonia with a total of 120p!

9. Tone Damli
Back to Norway now with two time Eurovision national finalist Tone Damli!
In 2005 Tone took part in the third season of Idol: Jakten på en superstjerne (Norway Idol), where she went on to reach the grand final and finished runner up to winner Jorun Stiansen.
In 2009 Tone took part in Melodi Grand Prix 2009 with the song "Butterflies" where once again she would finish runner up, but this time to Alexander Rybak, who went on to win Eurovision 2009.
In 2013 Tone competed in Melodifestivalen along with Erik Segerstedt (Who finished runner up in Swedish Idol 2006) with the song "Hello Goodbye", which went on to finished fourth in it's semi and made the Andra Chansen. Sadly the song did not progress to the final finishing 5th in Andra Chansen.

10. Getter Jaani
Last but not least we go back to Estonia for Getter Jaani!
In 2009 Getter took part in the third season of Eesti otsib superstaari, where she went on to reach the final rounds where she went onto finish 4th (three places behind Ott Lepland).
In 2011 Getter took part in Eesti Laul with the song "Rockefeller Street" which she went onto win, which ment she would represent Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
Getter went onto finish 24th in the final with a total of 44p.
